YOU LOVE HER SO MUCH IT’S EMBARRASSING
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
This is a love song for my husband-to-be Austin, to be played at our wedding.
I will attach the Semisonic song DnD which has the mellow mood and guitar style which I think would be fitting (it also happens to be one of my fiance’s favorite songs, so it’s perfect). I think that it would be nice if there were at least a couple of seconds of just guitar strumming in the beginning, before the actual lyrics begin; same for in-between some of the stanzas; usage of tactical “pauses” in the guitar accompaniment to emphasize certain lines (especially the part “because it’s pie time”) might work well too…
“You love her so much, it’s embarrassing”
You first met at a game of Dungeons and Dragons.
Your hair long, tye dye shirt and a smile
She had violet colored eyes.
Now she’s your fair maiden, but no damsel in distress;
You’ve found yourself in her adventures.
Where will tonight’s journey take you?
Lost in the mountains in the middle of a storm
Or racing shopping carts through the parking lot
At three-fourteen a.m.… because that’s pie time.
You love her so much, it’s embarrassing
Don the jester’s cap with the singing bells.
A fool in love, but you don’t really mind
When all arguments end in tickle fights.
You play the story, she’ll paint the dreams
In the home that you’ve made together
The toaster and the microwave, the vacuum too,
Smile wide in black permanent marker grins.
Every toad and snail and squirrel your friend
Oversized purple hedgehogs, flying pigs
Poke sharks and roly-poly elephants.
You love her so much, it’s embarrassing
Long, lazy Saturdays with Spongebob Squarepants
Teddy Ruxpin and Gorebash
You can never outgrow being happy
You can never outgrow who you are.
She loves you so much, it’s embarrassing
She’ll join you in a battle with gigantic plastic swords.
Then take your hand and swing dance in the kitchen
She is the pretty one, she is your best friend
She has flowers in her hair
And she loves you.
(the “you love her so much, it’s embarrassing” stanzas could be the chorus, if you will)

RUBBER DONKEY
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
I want you to make a Herp Albert and the Tijuana Brass version of Rubber Ducky from Sesame Street.
Two Mins. Instrumental. No Rubber Ducky sounds. Lots of brass instruments, feel free to get a little funky and creative on the melody - but at least play it once as is.
Rubber Donkey is a better title and a cooler toy idea.

ACCOMPLISHMENT BY PROXY (KING OF THE HARP)
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
Every time I watch the show King of the Hill I play out a small fantasy of mine to be able to play that melody on a harp. Maybe you can live out that dream for me and I can enjoy that accomplishment by proxy. In fact that should be the title of this — Accomplishment by Proxy

AIR SITAR BARON
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
I am attaching the new song that has been the background for my work these last few weeks. I love the silliness and randomness of it - and I LOVE the melody and instruments used in most Bollywood music. The song is called “I am the Emperor” and I would like you to do something in the tone of this song - especially the first two and a half minutes - since the tone goes many places, and so does the melody.
The song should be about a small boy named Baron who wants to climb the tallest tree in India and play the Air Sitar. The branches are full of thorns and the top of the tree is so high you can’t see it - but he is not scared, Brave Baron, takes his Air Sitar and climbs. A girl watching from the ground, observes him. She picks up a flower, a marigold, from the ground. Baron plays his air sitar on every branch he rests at - he sees the top of the tree and smiles as he climbs. As he gets closer to his dream, the girl on the ground blows on the flower - and it’s petals blow off with her breath. As the petals fall - so does he. And his fall takes forever, and so he plays the air sitar.

BLUE
This is a Paid Song! Learn more…
In 2006, Utada Hikaru released an album called Ultra Blue.
What I want is an English version of this song. I started writing lyrics in my spare time. It’s taken me a long time as I’ve been busy with classes and am a bit of a perfectionist, but I’m thus far pleased with what I have.
Places I’m used to being, people I’m used to seeing
Recently all seem to speak of the tragedies,
Of places far across the seas
I want to feel safe again in the night,
Soft music and sleep without fright
No matter how painful the time, why do I sing? (Who knows)
I don’t want to love again, why do I keep trying? (Darling, darling, ah)
I don’t hear a thing no matter what you say or do
I am blinded without a clue
I just tried, I just tried turning BLUE
I am only human
Complimented by this color
Day and day growing number
I think I’m getting older
I remember the sadness of your frown
Those spinning lights
I want to believe once again you’ll be around
The light is bound to reach you
Even on nights so freezing, who is the one singing? (Who?)
From sheets of music thrown askew
The notes, their tune inked in BLUE
I remember the sadness of your frown
Those spinning lights
I want to believe once again you’ll be around
The light is bound to reach you
Oh, no matter how painfully my life, why do I live? (Who knows?)
I just want a normal life, fame is overexaggerated.
Darling darling, ah, questions make me BLUE.
Darling darling, ah,
Tell me something good
Or let me feel your warmth one more time,
You have no idea the mountain I’d climb
Oh, no matter how long the night, day should break right?
Just like the stories from when we were children?
And though I don’t can’t hear a thing at all,
I know this storm will soon end
And though the future is cloudy
We can always keep on hoping
Why can’t you understand this? And why do I care about it? (Who knows)
I don’t want to love again, why do I keep trying? (Darling, darling, ah)
I don’t hear a thing no matter what you say or do
I am blinded without a clue
I just tried, I just tried turning BLUE
